In response to the planning report we have produced a contextual 3D model of Lower George’s Street to assess the setback of our proposal from the existing frontage and show the likely visual impact when viewed from the street. The model views have been submitted with revised drawings as part of a Further Information request from the local council.
We are very happy to announce that after an invited competition we have been selected to design the new Parish Rooms, adjacent to St. Mary Magdalene in the centre of Richmond, for the Richmond Team Ministry. This is a significant new commission for the practice and we look forward to the challenges of site and brief.
Our winning scheme drew inspiration from some ancient rock sketches, perhaps scrawled by Pythagoras himself, the famous son of Samos, which we found on that Greek island….
Many thanks to the Rev’d Tim Marwood for the photograph
The 20th Century Society has supported our proposal for the restoration and extension of a house built in 1955 by Rosslyn Harper for himself. The house incorporates references to the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. The sensitive siting and scale of the extension distinguishes from the main house while referencing Harper’s design.
We have recently applied for permission to build a 2-storey residential property above an existing shop in the old port of Dun Laoghaire, south Dublin.
The proposal includes partial demolition of derelict buildings along the 50m site and the development will provide a large 3 bedroom family home in the commercial centre of the town.
HCA bids a fond farewell to Marta as she begins her journey to becoming a specialist in conservation. Her hard work, energy in the office and wonderful cooking skills will be missed! We wish her joy and success as she ventures on this new chapter.
