Hugh Cullum is quinquennial inspecting architect to the listed churches of St. Michael and All Angels, Barnes, and St. Peter’s, Petersham. We report on the condition of the buildings and are involved in improvements and maintenance.
Work at St. Michael and All Angels has included the design of a new lighting scheme, the redecoration of the interior and the restoration of the roof, upper level brick and stonework and the Lady Chapel. We have also designed a new altar rail, entrance handrails and are overseeing the installation of specially designed decorative glass doors. A new courtyard garden was also completed in 2011.
At St. Peter’s we were involved in the restoration of the tower and have advised on the installation of a new organ. We are currently working on an extension proposal for a multi-use space.
