Conversion of a Grade II-listed Georgian building from three flats into a single family house. A large part of the work was the repair of the structure and the restoration of some of the fine period interiors. Where we have installed new bathrooms and dressing rooms, we have handled the modern elements as pieces of furniture sitting within the period rooms which remain with their original cornices, shutters and skirtings.
We have added a new garden room and kitchen which open on to a planted courtyard at the rear of the building. The contemporary style and lightness of the new spaces mark them as quite distinct from the rather formal rooms of the original house.
