Holy Trinity Richmond

We are architects and quinquennial inspectors to Holy Trinity Richmond.

Conservation of the external building envelope remains a key issue, with the ‘Rag Stone’ walling spalling in places and the traditional slate roof allowing intermittent leaks into the nave during heavy rain. There is also a school in a modern extension on site which falls within the ambit of our appointment.

Combined with these building faults, the servicing system is now outdated and inefficient. Heating is provided by a number of different electrical and gas boilers and secondary electrical heaters throughout the building.

We are now being commissioned to put together a package of conservation works, combined with works to improve energy efficiency at this site. We have also been in longer term discussions about formulating a masterplan for future development at the site.
