With Gilardino Design we were asked to propose a new scheme for a flagship jewellery shop in Tokyo.
The salon is sumptuously finished in cast bronze panels, a marble floor and ebony and silk wall finishes. We were involved in every aspect of the design from the display details and showcases to the overall concept and plan.
The cast bronze fish-scale screens have an oriental pedigree and are used at a very fine scale to flank the showcases in the windows and provide privacy, both at a small scale on the doors and at a large scale on the exterior where they identify the shop to cars speeding along the Ginza.
