Masterplan, refurbishment and extension of a large Decimus Burton manor house near Huntingdon.
We designed the masterplan with Jon Lowe of Heritage Collective, which included the restoration of a huge walled garden and the addition of a sunken indoor swimming pool and spa facilities with retractable glazed roof. The building appears as a simple contemporary pavilion in matching brickwork when seen from the parkland approach to the main house. The glazed link from the house to the pool is now completed.
This project is featured in ‘Topical Building‘, a 2017 monograph on the work of Hugh Cullum Architects.
